This bike is just what is is described to be. A true heavy duty hauler and long range ride. After only one 10 mile round trip here are my thoughts.
Pros. Solid and thoughtful design. Hauls gear well. Great ride. Solid- built like a tank, more like a dirt bike than a MTB. It is heavy and big. I am 6'4" and it is a comfortable ride. But, it is really heavy so when you stop, be ready to catch the weight. Thoughtful- easy controls and grip configuration, upright posture which is perfect for any application that requires looking around. Great ride- the front shock and seat shock make it easy to ride and the hard tail should make hauling a trailer easy once I get that configured. I strapped on about 40 lbs of gear and it was no problem traveling 10 miles round trip over moderate to rough dirt roads. And, only 15% battery usage on that trip. Bonus pro- Birch is an amazing company and their customer service is beyond what I've come to expect these days. They will absolutely work with you and proactively make any issue right.
Cons. Universal trailer compatibility. I purchased a 1 wheel Burley CoHo trailer to meet my needs and while it is a major brand with universal adapters,I'm struggling to fit it to the bike. Bike light placement. A small thing but the great light is mounted so that anything strapped to the front of the bike interferes with the light.
Bought for an upcoming hunting trip mid December. Have only used sparingly in woods around house. I know where I’m going there but ground is still a bit bumpy. Locks and hold phone well and makes it mucheasier to see trail you are following verses having to keep stopping to pull Out phone to see where you are and if you missed a turn, especially in the dark!!!!
Very powerful and comfortable to drive. Handled pulling deer better than I expected.

Bought to use for hunting. Great bike with lots of power. Only complaint is rough ride. A great bike for hunting.
4 stars only because the tires are not good for our dirt roads or trails if it’s damp (mud is different) when you turn they will slide, also with the dampness the tire picks up dirt and pine needles and they wedge in between the fender/tire and will lock that front wheel. To sum up with bike as is it need a 22 to 24” wheel (for fender clearance) and a lot more aggressive tire. If I wasn’t using for hunting there would be no issue but in South Carolina our hunting areas are that way
Have had bike about two weeks on a smooth trail or road it does great but where I hunt if it’s muddy it does not do so well. The fenders get clogged with mud causing an error code on the motors. I wish there was an option for small tires for shorter built people. I’m 5’10 “ and have to jump up on the seat. A 24 inch tire would be perfect for my size
So far very impressed with the overall bike, only had our a few times. Getting used to no kickstand and using the center stand. It would be nice to add one if possible. I have a rattle in the front of the bike most likely from the fender. I contacted customer support and they requested that I send a video of the issue. Customer Support has been very responsive with any questions that I had during shipping and delivery. Bike came on time along with accessories I ordered. Looking forward to using it during deer season and will most likely give it 5 stars after getting some more time on it.
I received a duplicate set of Tektro front and rear brake assemblies. I have not installed them yet but they seem to be a complete set and should operate properly.
Very pleased with it so far. I’m not the smallest guy, and it fits great. Plenty power and stability. Ready to get in the woods and see how it improves my hunting.

The bike seems to have plenty of off road capabilities. I have not owned it or used it enough to speak about it durability but seems well built!
This bike is awesome. Looks good, runs out good, and the quality is excellent.
I would haved liked to have had the choice of just buying a FRONT fender since the bike came with the back fender included.
Another great transaction. The service team is great. Had an issue I didn’t know about and they proactively called me and worked it out,
this bike performs better than expected... i also have an aipas M2 750 watt and this grolar runs away on the street and trails ,, hills i walked up pushing the iapas in the past i ride up with no problem .. other than the chain guide being faulty , i fixed it as best i can so it is ridable, and the tail light not working . i am more than pleased with this purchase

I am new to the e-bike world. The Birch Hunter is a game changer! This bike has plenty of power to get me where I want to go easier than walking and quietly.
Charged the battery fully in about 5-6 hours. Seems to get really warm during the process. I wouldn’t leave it plugged in longer than needed for the battery to charge.
I haven’t used it yet but they seem to be well built and I like the florescent yellow water proof cover. Hopefully nothing from the saddlebags ends up in my spokes or deurelleirs

This “bike” is an absolute game changer. It is so much fun. It goes anywhere and is a blast on paved roads too. So glad this thing is in my life. Zero regrets wish I’d bought it sooner!
