Birch Hunters

This fat tire E-bike has it all. I’ve look at a lot of bikes for hunting and all of them needed some kind of change or add on to make it work for hunting or ergonomics. You end up spending more to get it to function properly. This E-bike had all the features needed for hunting and ergonomics for a great price. I got 40 miles on a complete charge while riding in the desert sand pulling a trailer and all my gear for hunting. The trailer weighs 21 lbs the pack and rifle weigh 56 lbs and I weigh 240 lbs. there was some good grades 10 %, 15%, that were half mile runs and it pulled them with ease. You can’t go wrong with this bike.

So far it has proven to be very powerful and well made. Although I wish there were more accessories for it.

If you’re looking for something for off-road, this is it. You cant beat the two wheels that have power for going up hills. It is the most fun I have ever had on a bike. It is SUPER heavy duty. I’m 6’-2” 200# and it is like Im a toddler on it! It can handle a big guy. If you are larger and think there isn’t a bike for you, well check this one out. It is a beast!

I have owned two quietkat, one rambo e-bikes.one 750w, two 1000w and this birch ebike has more power than any other bike, the fit and finish is excellent. Very comfortable and very easy to ride. Highly recommended.George P from Pa. Can’t wait for the trailer to arrive.

This is my first ebike experience. I had 4 criteria when shopping. 1. Step through frame. 2. AWD. 3. 26" tires. 4. Front/rear racks. The Grolar hits all those perfectly. The bike puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. I leave it in awd mode, as I like the acceleration. My only issue is no front fender. On a wet day, I get some spray. The battery catches most of it, but not all of it.

This bike is built like a tank and is everything you could want to get you anywhere you want to go.

I have recently bought a Grolar in the forest camo.
This bike is a BEAST of a machine. I couldn't be more pleased and impressed. Far exceeded my expectations for a hunting bike. This thing climbs like an animal. I was a little concerned about not having a rear suspension. I was pleasantly surprised as to how well it rode. The suspension seat and front shocks that have a crazy amount travel work great. The easy fork adjustment is perfect. I use it for hunting and it has everything that I need and I feel most hunters would agree. I don't feel there are any big expensive upgrades that are needed. I have looked at and rode a lot of bikes. I kept coming back to this awesome bike. I pulled the trigger and ordered one sight unseen. It was very hard to do as I am one that has to go over everything with a fine toothed comb. I take a lot of pride in my hunting gear. Not to mention it was a serious investment for me.
The step through is a welcomed design. So much easier on a side hill when loaded down with a full rack and backpack and weapon. I love being able to stand up on the pedals. It gives relief from hands and backside from going numb. I have a serious back knee and hip issues at 62 years young. After riding my Grolar on a 22 mile hard mountain ride, I haven't felt so good. I am also looking forward to the health benifit of the bike. I will be taking it on long rides not just for hunting. I will never own a conventional frame again.

available. I am looking
forward to a trailer.

One note for interested people: It is a big bike. I am six feet tall 250 lbs. and only adjusted the seat up about an 1-1/2. There is not much for sitting on the seat and having both feet on the ground.

The customer service has been great. They contacted me about a possible battery issue. That has been discovered in the first production ones. They are willing to replace the battery if there is an issue. A little slow at responding to my emails. But they are a growing company so i understand. I was very happy how it came packaged. Well protected and easy to assemble with a good manual. I couldn't believe all bolts and screws were tight. The shifting and derailleur worked flawlessly. Pre lubed and everything adjusted.

If you are looking for a purpose built hunting bike. This bike has my 100% recommendation.

My Birch Grolar arrived in a well package long box by a carrier that called and asked what was a convenient time to deliver. The box was easy to unpack, cut straps, pull out the quick release locking tab and remove the lid. Assembly was quick and instruction were good and the pictures helped a lot.

Charged battery and off I went to tackle the local fire roads around my area. Hill climbing abilities of this bike were awesome. I am 65 and with a bum knee and found myself enjoying the pedal assist/throttle, several times on level 5 to get up some really steep hills. Bike riding has once again become a pleasure without the sweat. Had to use the "Walk Assist" mode several time to get around several down trees and with a 100lb+ bike, this mode was a godsend.

The battery light turned red at 20% as a warning and at this point in time I got about 40 miles on the bike, but I road it pretty hard and not a lot in pedal assist 1 or 2. Even had a 1.5 mile ride at 25% grade that was effortless.

Shocks, seat, hand grips made the ride very comfortable. The display had good clarity and controller worked without failure.

I had two problems that were my fault. 1st was a knocking noise from pedal area. Customer support was great and gave me two suggestions. I just needed to tighten the pedals. 2nd was a rattle that turned up after several hard miles of fire road riding, the kickstand needed to be retightened.

If you are looking for speed, this may not be the bike for you but if you are looking for a well built, sturdy, powerful bike for traveling the dirt roads, I could not be happier. I would image that on a "rails to trails" ride you will not be disappointed with the comfort, carrying capacity and improved range.

Good bike i know this is gen 1 but a few things happened . the front rack wore a hole threw the cable to the front motor, so lost the front motor at 37 miles , other issue is the toggle switch for power cover came off . this was probably damaged in shipping ,,I managed to get a claim started i think and hopefully i get a response , i just hate AI emails that are a auto generated
response! I would like to see Birch reach out to there customers in person , and stock all parts for these bikes , i know it’s a new company but WIRED N AVENTON carry all parts in stock and they call you back immediately, I do like the bike a lot and have a massive review on youtube about to air on this beast of a bike with all the likes n changes i made to make it near perfect for the big country we hunt here in the Cascades in Washington state !

Love bike so far does exactly what I want. I'm a avid archery hunter and it is going to be great accessory to my hunts. Instructions are kinda vague but understandable. But how to tweak to get peak performance for what terrain you are riding in is not so easy. I've been doing trial and error and still haven't got what I want. Overall love it!

All wheel drive is the only option for off road performance, that’s why they make 4x4 vehicles for off road. Naturally a bike need all wheel drive to get wheel you need to go
Mud, sand, inclines and more. The only draw back is top speed of 20 mph on Hiway runs ,
Having owned a competitive brand AWD bike this one offered more power and a beefier fram and attached gear mounts.

The Birch Grolar is is a really good bike. It handles rough terrain comfortably and I’ve taken it on some tough trails with no issues. It was a great purchase for me.

This bike is great for anyone who loves outdoor exploring. It handles uneven terrain super well and gives plenty of power to get over hills. I ride it through the woods and find it to be perfect for that landscape. My only recommendation would be to offer more options for hardware customization. Other than that it’s an excellent investment.

Great bike. It’s powerful and comfortale to ride, The battery also lasts quite long, I did run into a couple of issues, my front motor stopped working randomly. I’m hoping Birch responds soon. If they improve customer service and stock parts better, this bike would be perfect. I’m still happy with the purchase overall.

There was an issue with the bike’s delivery but customer service was quick to respond. Once everything was set up the bike has been working perfectly. It has a lot of power and is a great tool for outdoor, offroad riding.
